At the temple we each got a Omikuji, a strip of paper that foretells ones future.
Alessio's said (very accurately):
...
"If you want to get win, you should at ahead always. Like a gold dragon shower down the sweet rain from the sky, the Buddha and the God will provide you mercy."
...
Later on we had a stroll through Asakusa and, as it was approaching dinner time, Yuki made the suggestion of going to Nishinaka Dori, a street famous for its Monjayaki restaurants.
Monjayaki is a traditional dish from the Kanto region. It is comparable to an omelette, although its consistency is a lot runnier (it too was delicious).
To conclude the evening we went to one of the many Karaoke bars. Luckily there were plenty of English songs to choose from and something to suite everyones taste.
The Karaoke was ridiculous fun and our singing wasn't too bad at all ;-).
At this place we'd like to thank Yuriko and Yuki for this wonderful day. We learnt a lot about Japanese life and culture and saw very interesting and less touristic parts of Tokyo, which we otherwise would have never known about.
- Alessio and Louis
And what did your Omikuji say? Wouldn't that be a great job for you to translate Omikuji's? There is surely some future in that?!
